Desperately want to lose weight?

Do you desperately want to lose weight? Is there a big event coming up soon for which you would like to look better? Perhaps a wedding, prom, school reunion, or just so you can get into that favourite dress, bikini or trousers again. Would just a few pounds make all the difference? It needs to be quick though otherwise you will lose interest. (It also needs to be healthy - you do not want to get bulimic or anorexic). Do "normal" diets which have a slow reduction in weight make you feel like giving up?

I know, I've been there, done that, got the T-shirt. I have tried diet after diet and nothing seems to keep on working. They all work for a while but then the weight just piles back on again. Why is that? Partly because what you have lost is just water and as soon as you eat normally again the water gets retained again, so in fact, what you lost was not fat but water. That is why the first week is always the one where you lose the most weight. Another reason is that you get tired of not being able to eat what you want to. If you follow these diets you have to do what they say FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE.

How can you lose fat healthily and quickly but still be able to eat exactly what you want? How can you diet and eat favourite foods too?

Have you tried starving?

I hope not because if you have, you will know that it just does not work that way. Nature is a wonderful thing. When there is not much food around the body goes into store mode and retains what it has already so that it will not miss out when there is no more food available. Starving yourself just makes the body think that it had better store up quickly or tomorrow it may not be able to function. It is just like when you plan to go on a diet you eat all the things you think you may not be able to have for a while (or, in the case of the large programs which make you change your lifestyle forever) then you may never get to eat those things again. You can then use those tastes and images to get yourself through the dark days ahead. That is exactly what the body does too. It stores up what it has so it can use it later.

What is the answer then?

If the body does not know what is coming up because it cannot figure it out from the eating patterns in the days just gone, then it does not need to think about storing. The answer therefore is to confuse the body so that it has no idea whether to convert the current food supply into fat in case of a perceived shortage or not.

Can I really lose a significant amount of weight in just a few days?

Yes, you can lose about 9lbs over the next 11 days. Would that be enough for the time being? If not, then the best part about this system is that you can have a rest from it for 3 days and during that time you can eat whatever you like. I guess you do need to be a little bit sensible about it and not eat chocolate all day or fried chips with every meal, but apart from that you are able to eat whatever you want for that 3 days and then go on the system again for another 11 days.

This break in between is what makes this diet work. There is no way you can feel deprived. You can just think that in 11 days you will be able to return to your normal eating habits for a few days. Actually you will probably find that you do not want to eat those things then anyway, but that is an added bonus that may or may not be true for you. Either way, you will not feel restricted in what you eat because you have those three days to look forward to.
