Need to lose Weight for Summer?
Summer is just around the corner, or at least I hope so. It is supposed to be summer now but the sun has not been shining much lately. Hopefully it will come soon and you will want to be ready for it. You will want to be able to wear that new bikini.
Would just a few pounds make all the difference? Or do you need to lose more than that?
If you are like me you will need to lose it quickly though, otherwise you will lose interest. It also needs to be healthy - bulimia and anorexia are not options.
Have you tried cutting out meals altogether?
I hope not because if you have you will know that it just does not work that way. I heard recently that the problem with dieting is that your body thinks that there is no food available out there. So your body stores food up for use when the supply runs out totally. This is why you can stop eating altogether but still not lose any weight. It also explains why you come to a plateau if you belong to one of the large multinational diet companies that cost you an arm and a leg to join and mingle with like-minded people who are also reaching a plateau and cannot understand why. Nature is marvelous. It does not want you to starve and it will go out of its way to prevent that from happening. It wants you to be able to stay alive and it will store up the food it has as fat in the hope that it will be sufficient to get you through the drought/famine.
What can I do then?
If you can confuse your body so that it has no idea what food is coming along next (and cannot form any predictions based on what it has received during the last few days), it will not have to worry about supply. It will then accept that there will be some sort of food tomorrow - it does not know what, but it knows that some food will be along.
Is it possible to lose weight safely, quickly?
If 11 days is quick enough for you then the answer is yes. In that time you can lose around 9lbs. If you need to lose more then... and this is the best bit...... you can have a three day rest during which time you can eat whatever you like.
This respite between the 11 day diet cycles is what makes this diet work. There is no way you can feel deprived. You can keep the thought in your mind that it is not forever, that in less than 11 days you can eat normally again. You will more than likely find that you do not want to eat that double chocolate-dipped icecream every day, or fried potatoes with every meal, or maybe not even your favourite bar of chocolate more than perhaps once during those 3 days, but if you really wanted to, you could.
