Want To Stop Acne Breakouts? Discover A-Z About Acne

Living with acne can be difficult to cope with. It's important to remember that acne happens to everyone. More than 90% of teenagers and 25% of adults experience acne. It's important to understand that most people understand acne breakouts cause psychological problems. It's best to continue to live your life as best you can while educate yourself about acne and how you can effectively treat it.

Acne begins beneath the surface of the skin. It takes a pimple approximately 2-3 weeks to surface the skin. Skin conditions such as acne start deep inside the pores or sebaceous glads where oil a clogged with dirt and dust. As your skin renews itself, skin sloughs off. However, not everyone's skin sloughs off the same. Some people slough off skin quickly, while others don't. When sloughing is slow, dead skin cells clog causing oil and bacteria to get clogged in the follicle. As bacteria remains trapped, more oil pores in causing the skin to swell making a pimple.

There are different factors that cause acne conditions.

Hormones Most causes of acne breakouts are due to hormonal imbalances such as puberty, menstruation, pregnancy, or pre-menopausal. Other causes are hereditary, which is where oily skin types come from.

Sebaceous Glands It is known that testosterone in people prone to acne triggers excess sebum at higher rates than proper shedding of the skin can occur. Therefore, follicles get clogged and skin is not able to release the oil and dirt trapped inside.

Bacteria Bacteria trapped inside the skin's follicles continue to grow causeing the body's immune system to respond, causing inflammation. The skin turns red and has the appearance of spots.

Inflammation People who actually experience cysts endure severe inflammation of the kin. Acne cysts; causing infections to spread through the skin. Large acne such as this causes scarring of the skin.

If you experience acne problems, the best thing to do is to seek treatment from a dermatologist if normal over-the-counter acne treatment products don't help. Try not to do things that make acne worse such as squeezing the spots, undergoing high amounts of stress, or not cleaning the face well.

Discovering A-Z information about acne will help you to better understand why you are going through this type of skin condition. Knowing the causes of acne can help you be aware of the symptoms in order to find out the best solution to treat your acne as fast as possible.
